The MA (Hons) Business and Finance programme at Heriot-Watt University explores the interface between business and finance and looks closely at the implications of financial decision-making on business performance and management. The Business and Finance programme is a specialist joint degree with equal emphasis given to the subject areas of business and finance. This hands-on degree is suited to those who wish to gain a firm grounding in business and management, coupled with an insight into the finance and financial operations of businesses and organisations.

The students who have opted for this programme will have to pursue a 48-72 week online mode of learning at the British University College. Upon successful completion of the BUC’s International Graduate Programme SCQF Level 7 International Certificate in Business & SCQF Level 8 International Specialised Diploma in Business Management, students will gain direct entry into the the third-year of the integrated MA (Hons) Business and Finance programme and pursue the third-year on-campus at the Heriot-Watt University.

Eligibility

An undergraduate degree from any recognized university in a business, finance, tourism and hospitality
or healthcare-related subject.

Or Level 6 RQF awarded by an OFQUAL-regulated awarding body / Level 9 / 10 SCQF programme.
Or Mature learners such as experienced working professionals with a minimum of 5 years of total work

experience (2 years in a managerial position) are eligible to apply for the International Graduate

Programme (PG).

Study Pathway

The students will pursue a 48-72 weeks online mode of learning at the British University College. Upon successful completion of the BUC's International Graduate Programme SCQF Level 7 International Certificate in Business (equivalent to Year 1) & SCQF Level 8 International Specialised Diploma in Business Management (equivalent to Year 2), students will gain direct entry into the final year of the Degree programme and pursue the final year On-Campus at the university they have chosen. BUC’s International Graduate Programme (PG) consists of SCQF Level 11 International Professional Diploma in Business Management. The students will have to pursue a one year online mode of learning at the British University College. Upon successful completion, students will gain direct entry into the final year of the Master’s Degree programme at the university they have chosen. Upon successful graduation, the learner will be eligible to apply for a two-year (PSW) Visa as dictated under the current UK rules and regulations.
